Corvette News (Aug-Sept 1981)

This issue of Corvette News proudly unveils their new facility in Bowling Green, KY. The assembly plant moved from St. Louis, and brought 900 jobs to the area – and still continues operation to this day. There’s also a Corvette museum in Bowling Green.

This issue also has a section on design, specifically on “packaging people”…

“GM Design Staff built the Anthropometer to Human Factors Department specifications, to take quick and accurate measurements of the human body. The data are translated onto templates which are used to make design/engineering drawings. Here, HF Engineer Al Arnold measures Design Staff’s Lynn Von Allmen.”

Handlebar mustache not included.
